New Years Resolutions

I thought I'd tell you about my New Years resolutions and hopefully give you some :) Okay, so you have to normal and generic New Years resolutions;
- Lose Weight
- Study More
- Eat Healthier
- Drink Less
And blah blah blah, well my New Years resolutions , I admit are some of the generic ones but I wanted to be different, I wanted to swim upstream instead of going in the same direction of the other fish. So my New Years resolutions are;
- Eat Healthier - This is difficult for me as I am a very fussy eater, but I am going to print out some recipes and hopefully discover and eat some new food, dishes and so on.
- Get my body more toned - This isn't losing weight, I am perfectly happy being the weight that I am, I just want to tone my muscle, my stomach, legs, arms and I am not going to lie, my bum, I also want to increase my muscle weight so I'd have to do weight training etc.
- Revise more - I haven't been doing as much as I could have so I am going to try and stick to my revision plan I have made.
- Read at least 5 books this year - I am a good reader and when I want to be I can be a fast one, but it took me 3 maybe 4 years to the Exorcist as I was very disinterested and was busy.
-Learn 5 new skills - I have a huge list of skills to learn and I really want to learn some of those. The skills include; origami, first aid, lifeguarding,  sign language, typing without looking, learning a new instrument, learn how to roller-skate/blade, learn how to ice skating, learn a new language, join a sports team.

Different New Years resolutions could be to help your mum around the house more, learn to cook, bake cakes more, do better in school, learn about a different countries traditions, eat 3 fruits you have never tried before or even heard of.

All I have got to say is don't procrastinate, with any New Years resolutions and anything just try not to procrastinate whether it be studying, reading, and I know its difficult, I do it a lot so maybe that could be one of our New Years resolutions - Do Not Procrastinate. Anyway, I hope I have give you some ideas on new, New Years resolutions :)

Zoella and The Ghost Writer

I am a fan of Zoe's and all these articles about 'how she didn't write her own book' are pathetic, people are slating her, having a go at her because she had help writing her book, and recently she got a 'telling' off by the police! I mean the way people are treating the situation is over-exaggerating everything. People have forgotten all the good she has done and that's because of one tiny little imperfection, the fact that she had help writing her book. I don't think she could have possibly written it by herself without help, with the videos she had to make, the editing she had to do, the vlogs she was filming, the Zoella beauty range launch, travelling to and from places. She is human, and us humans we need help from time to time, singers, tv show presenters, and some authors have help with writing their material, so why isn't there a bunch of articles slating them on the fact that they didn't devote their busy lives to one thing? No one is perfect, and who are we to pick out someone's imperfections, would we want someone to pick out our imperfections? No we wouldn't, we would hate it. Zoe has helped loads of people with her videos, so why cant there be articles about that?

Sorry for this weeks post, it was just to blow off steam and rant about the world we live in at the moment.

The Maze Runner just equals major ovary explosion

*This post does have some obscene language in so readers discretion is advised*

Okay so a couple of weeks ago, well October to be exact I read The Maze Runner, in under three weeks before the film came out. I know three weeks is a long time but that's the fastest I have ever read a book so ya'know quite chuffed with myself to be honest :') but back to The Maze Runner, I was super psyched to read it after I finished reading it, I couldn't wait, I was buzzing like a bee, happy as can be and just really really excited !! One because I thought the book was fantastic, I couldn't stop reading it I read it on the way to college, on the bus, on the coach home, at home during my sleeping hours I just couldn't put it down. And then the film came out and oh my goodness I was fangirling all that week because me and my friend saw it on the day of its release and I was so excited. We were in our seats watching the adverts and then it came on. I couldn't contain myself, I was squealing, I was jumping up and down in my seat, I was waving my arms around, my excitement was not containable. And then, as the lift was going up I wanted to scream as I knew Dylan O'Brien would be on that screen soon. Let me just repeat that, Dylan Fucking O'Brien!! I adore him, he is a really good actor, and he isn't so bad on the eyes if you know what I mean ;) He is hotter than the sun. OMG I
just love him, I also love him in Teen Wolf, but that's for another post :D But this cast is just, just, just makes me speechless. Thomas, Will, Aml and Ki are just a few that make this film = a major ovary explosion. But I just need to get this off my chest, great film but absolute shit book-to-film adaptation, they missed loads, of what in my opinion, were key points and elements to the story. But all-in-all loved the film and loved the book just think as an adaptation it wasn't too my liking, however movies bring literature to life and I am so glad they did with this book, even if they did change a few things, things in life change, not everything is the same, we just have to get used to it.

And just to make my excitement levels balance after writing about The Maze Runner, THERE IS A 'THE MAZE RUNNER' APP!!! I KNOW !!! Supercalifragalisticexpidaliouscious oh.my.god I haven't stopped playing since I downloaded it, which was today, I have been meaning too but I have been busy :( Anyway its amazing, just the app is like the movie, you awake in the Glade and you have to run in the maze to find a way out. I don't want to spoil much, if you want to see what it is like download it, but you might be playing all the time, just a warning :) Its free but has in-app-purchases, but apart from that its great I love it, it is going to be my new favourite app :)

So tell me if there are any books I should read, always love reading new things. Have you seen The Maze Runner, if so did you like it? If you have the app, do you love the app? But in all serious can we just appreciate Dylan O'Brien. *insert loveheart eyes emoticon here*

Christmas Present Ideas

Lets start off with family. I have two sisters, one mum, one dad, one step dad, one step-mum-to-be and one step-sister-to-be. So for my mum she didn't want anything, so I got her a cute little teddy because I felt bad not getting my mum anything. But for those who want to get a little extra for the women that gave them birth, she might like some candles and maybe some bath stuff to go with the candles so she can have a relaxing bath, you could get her some vouchers or gift cards to her favourite shop, so you know she definitely gets something she likes, there are these statuettes things from Willow Tree they are cute, mini statutes of anything you can have a mother and daughter, mother and son, mother and baby, father and children, you can buy Christmas ornaments from there, it can be also for friends, maybe lovers they are just unique, cute gifts for many different people. Presents for the old man can be difficult, my mum has told me not to get any presents as she will buy them, but here are some ideas, beer is a good gift, maybe a flask engraved with their name, darts board, maybe a casino set thing, anything comic book related, maybe star wars things, I remember for my dads 40th birthday I got him family guy socks and a Darth Vader toy thing, ties maybe some cufflinks. Now sisters. I am sure like many siblings deep down we love them, but they can get so annoying that you just want to hit them, but like I said we love them so as much as mine drive me crazy I still bought them gifts :) My sisters are both younger than me (I am the oldest -.-) so I got something they would actually use. I walked past this stall that was selling cups and lots of ceramic stuff, so I decided to get one a cupcake shaped money box thing and the other sister is into music and guitars and stuff so I got her a cup with a guitar shaped as the handle and music notes painted on the sides. But I also got then Ben 10 and One Direction books because they absolutely  hate them, one sister despises 1D so much I just cant wait for her to open up her present on the 25th of December, it will be the best moment to end 2014 on :') But if you actually like your siblings then you could get something like (obvs) like a dvd, cd maybe a poster of their favourite band or singer, a teddy, a mug with a sachet of hot chocolate with a bag of marsh mellows. And that's family done lets move on to friends.

I will start with lad mates as they are easy to buy for if they are near 17/18 yrs of age, this would be best, alcohol; beer, cider, any shot based drink, maybe shot glasses, if the smoke a nice lighter, and if you are brave enough and you are sure they'd like it a 'adult' magazine in which the female body is exposed in many different poses and ways ;) and chocolate.

So my female friends are difficult to buy presents for, one of them is allergic to nearly almost everything and on top of that she has eczema, like me, so I cant buy skin stuff because our skin gets irritated by it. My other friend has skin which is perfect in my opinion, she doesn't wear that much make up so I cant buy her that and her birthday is in November, so I got her perfume so I cant get her perfume. So I had to come up with an idea of what to get them, so I thought Id share my idea and hopefully some people might like it and do the idea as its difficult to buy females but mostly 17 year old presents so here goes.

Where I go college there is a little shopping centre near by so I went there to get the presents. I was walking buy this cute little soap stall and saw these candle lite holders and immediately fell in love! They are so cute and would be perfect in any room, having the words 'live, laugh, love' on the side of the holder just makes it that little more special. The holder on its own would be a shitty little present I decided to fill it up with stuff, so then I went to Bodycare and bought facemasks, lip stuff, nail varnish and a body scrub thingy magig (I have no idea what it is called) and then filled the holder with the stuff I bought. I also bought some cotton colourful balls to fill the rest of the space with. As there was no space for them though I decide to put them on the top, creating a flower with the balls. Then I wrapped them in some paper thing from my mums cupboard of all things that I use so I don't have to buy my own stuff :D its golden with Christmas pictures on it and it just adds that little more bit of specialness. So that is my cute little Christmas present idea for 17 year old girls, however it doesn't just have to be for 17 year olds, it could be for 14 year olds to 40 year olds ? I don't know any age really, and it doesn't have to be just for Christmas, it could be for birthdays, Valentines day, Halloween basically any time you can give someone a present. This is a cute idea, and I just love it. Also its not that expensive, the candle holder was £2.99 but the women gave me a deal as I bought  few so that came down to £2.50 and all the bits and bobs were probably £2.00 maybe £4.00 either way this came to under £5.00, so its a quick, reasonably priced present to give to someone.

So there are my Christmas present ideas, if you liked them say so, if you have taken any on board comment which ones and if you have any ideas of any type of present comment :)

Spotify - Whats in my playlist ?

Okay so I recently just got Spotify, so I thought this would be a chance to listen to different types of music as well as the music I already listen too. I love Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Lana Del Rey, Artic Monkeys, Hippie Sabotage, and many more but you can see that it is a wide range of music and I wanted to develop the music I listen too. All my friends have different tasts, one likes The Courteeners, Bombay Bicycle Club and another likes You Me At Six, Fall Out Boy and The Pretty Reckless, so I get to hear many artists and I like most of them. So to have a wider range of music taste and music I like I added these artists to my playlist so when I am listening I stumble upon a new song, and this has given me more artists to listen too. I have also fell in love with this guy called Jack Johnson, he does cute songs which are nice to listen too, so if you have time go and check him out because I adore him and his songs I can relate too. Other artists I say you need to check out are:

Artic Monkeys
Years & Years
The 1975
Azealia Banks
Florence and the Machine
George Ezra
The Hoosiers
Imagine Dragons
Kaiser Chiefs
Lucy Rose
Haim
Tove Lo
Jack Johnson

So comment of you have checked ant of these artist's out and if you liked them, also if you have any bands or singers you absolutely adore comment them down below.
